Competency, Nurse, Critical Care, Education, Qualification, Great Britainv českém jazyce: Diplomová práce se věnuje srovnáním kompetencí sester pracujících na odděleních intenzivní péče v České republice a ve Velké Británii. Teoretická část dává ucelený pohled na kompetence stanovené právními normami, vzdělávání a získávání kvalifikace pro výkon profese sestry v obou zemích. Jsou zde popsány rozdíly v přístupu obou států na regulaci zdravotních sester a jejich kompetencí. Krátce se také dotýkám finančního ohodnocení a prestiže povolání zdravotní sestry z pohledu veřejného mínění. Praktická část diplomové práce se zaměřuje na analýzu průzkumu výše zmíněné problematiky. K získání dat jsem zvolila metodu výzkumu pomocí anonymních strukturovaných dotazníků. Pro každou zemi zvlášť v jejich vlastním jazyce. Snahou praktické části je porovnat odlišnosti v profese sestry v intenzivní medicíně v Čechách a ve Velké Británii. Zjistit rozpor či soulad mezi znalostmi kompetencí a praktickým výkonem práce sestry a odhalit důvody případného překračování sesterských kompetencí. Summary: The diploma thesis compares competency of nurses working in intensive care in The Czech Republic and Great Britain. Theoretical part of the thesis gives compact look to regulation of nursing profession, education of nurses and nursing registration in both countries. In this part are highlighted main differences of the legislation which nursing competency is based on in each country. There is also mentioned the public opinion of the nursing as a profession and its prestige related to both countries. Practical part of the thesis focuses on the interpretation of analysis of the research regarding the above mentioned topic. For the research have been used the method of collecting data by structured questionnaires. There was a questionnaire for each country in its own language. The aim of the practical part is to compare divergence of knowledge, skills and competency of nurses working in intensive care in both countries.
