Zrušení jezuitského řádu v českých zemích. Kolektivní biografie bývalé elity (1773-1800)

Abstract

Disertační práce se zabývá problematikou konce působení, zrušení a důsledků zrušení starého Tovaryšstva Ježíšova. Téma postavení církevního řádu v raněnovověké společnosti bylo v české historiografii spíše opomíjeno, případně bylo zpracováváno popisně, schematicky a s důrazem na prostou faktografii. Práce se pokouší tuto metodologickou nedostatečnost překonat pomocí "teorie praxe" francouzského sociologa a antropologa Pierra Bourdieu.

This doctoral thesis deals with the suppression of the old Society of Jesus and its consequences. While the Czech historiography has either marginalised or approached the issue of the status of religious order in the early modern society rather schematically, focusing on pure facts and figures, this dissertation attempts to overcome this methodological inadequacy by employing the "theory of practice" introduced by Pierre Bourdieu, a French sociologist and anthropologist.
