Abstract

Autor vyzývá ke změně etického myšlení a odvolává se na Spinozovu Etiku, kterou svým intuitivním poznáním přibližuje dnešnímu čtenáři. Ve stručnosti základní myšlenky této etické interpretace: Vše vychází z našeho těla, tyto projevy jsou nutně a zákonitě součástí celku. Atribut myšlení má nezastupitelnou úlohu. Lidskému rozumu umožňuje chápat tyto projevy a rezignovat ve smyslu aktivní schopnosti obrousit hrany našim žádostem a afektům. It enables our intellect to comprehend these expressions and resign in a sense of active ability to reduce our lusts and affects. Spinoza's Ethics is such a deep and breath-taking exploration of our human heart. It contains appealing ethical reference. It calls for unity and understanding. It leads people out of slavery. Out of thought captivity which is to think or believe we are free. Out of the real slavery he sets us free from the bond of uncontrollable lusts and confused ideas. The question is whether or not we are interested in it. Spinoza's Ethics means a practical life under way of eternity.
