Any questions? - diskusní pořad BBC Radia 4 (analýza formátu se zaměřením na specifika rozhlasové diskuse jako publicistického žánru)

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou formátu pořadu BBC Radia 4 s názvem Any Questions?. Cílem této práce je popsat dialogické žánry, které se v této publicistické rozhlasové debatě vyskytují, a způsob, kterým plní svůj komunikační účel. Teoretická část práce popisuje tyto žánry v obecné rovině. Tento popis vychází z odborné literatury, jejíž seznam je uveden na konci této práce. Knihy použité pro reference jsou jak v českém, tak anglickém jazyce, terminologie a členění daných žánrů se však vždy přizpůsobuje kontextu české žurnalistiky. Teoretická část práce se také zabývá popisem BBC jako médiem veřejné služby, jež tento pořad produkuje a jehož zásadami se daný pořad také řídí. Poté přistupuje k popisu vzniku samotného pořadu, a to jak k popisu výběrů hostů a lokací pořadu, tak k roli moderátora v diskusi a také úspěšnosti jeho komunikace s posluchačem. Tato část čerpá jak z odborné literatury, tak z emailové komunikace s jednou z produkčních pořadu Any Questions?. Praktická část pak představuje jednu konkrétní epizodu daného pořadu, na níž je provedena bližší jazyková analýza. Práce obsahuje také transkript dané epizody vytvořený autorkou této práce, na který praktická část práce neustále odkazuje a který v praxi demonstruje obecné jazykové poznatky o vedení veřejných diskusí.

This BA thesis is concerned with the analysis of Any Questions?, a BBC Radio 4 programme. Its goal is to describe the dialogue genres that are used in this radio broadcasted public debate, and also to describe the way in which these genres fulfil their communicative function. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the above-mentioned genres as they are regarded in the context of Czech journalism. (Although the literature used for references is in both Czech and English, the terminology is always adjusted to suit the Czech journalistic environment.) This part also describes BBC as a public service medium, since the environment in which the programme is produced significantly influences its contents. Finally, this part describes the production of the programme as such: it deals with the selection of guests and locations of the programme, and also with the role of the presenter of the discussion and with the extent to which the programme is successful regarding the communication with the audience. (This part is, among others, based on the electronic correspondence with one of the producers of the programme).
