Abstract

Contemporary Catholic apocalyptics. New perspective on private revelations. This paper shows that the area of private revelations and Marian devotion hit especially in the second half of the twentieth century wave of apocalyptics, which culminated at the turn of the millennium. It appears by the analysis of texts, messages and prophecies of modern Marian apparitions, which report close to second coming of Christ. The author focuses on the biblical foundations of modern apocalyptics and analyzes the existence of such expectations in the history of the Church. The historical overview shows that current expectations, which are mainly millenaristic, have their prototypes in the Middle Ages and the early church, even though the Church has never accepted them. It attempts to affect the structure of eschatology of these revelations and interpretations, noting the changing role of the Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit in the contemporary apocalyptics and in events of the End Times. It points out the eschatological nature of some of the writings of Pope John Paul II. Resumé Soudobá katolická apokalyptika. Nový pohled na soukromá zjevení. Tato práce se snaží ukázat, že oblast soukromých zjevení a mariánské zbožnosti zasáhla obzvláště ve druhé polovině dvacátého století vlna apokalyptiky, která vyvrcholila v době přelomu milénia. Ukazuje se to díky předložené analýze textů, poselství a proroctví z novodobých mariánských zjevení, které ohlašují Kristův blízký druhý příchod. Autor si všímá biblických východisek této novodobé apokalyptiky a analyzuje existenci blízkých očekávání v dějinách církve. V historickém přehledu ukazuje, že současná očekávání, která jsou převážně millenaristická, mají své předobrazy již ve středověku a v prvotní církvi, přestože nebyla nikdy církví přijata. Pokouší se postihnout strukturu eschatologie těchto zjevení a interpretací, všímá si měnící se role Panny Marie a Ducha svatého v novodobé apokalyptice a v událostech konce dějin. Ukazuje i na eschatologický charakter některých spisů papeže Jana Pavla II. V teologické kapitole zkoumá vztah soukromého zjevení ke konstitutivnímu, na základě argumentace teologů zvažuje míru závaznosti, s jakou jsou zjevení předkládána k víře, a všímá si napětí mezi učitelským úřadem v církvi a charismatickým prvkem.
