Sociálne istoty vs. osobné slobody. Obdobie tzv. normalizácie a transformácie očami obyvateľov Krompách. Životopisné rozprávania

Abstract

Cieľom diplomovej práce je postihnúť názory a postoje obyvateľov malého východoslovenského mesta k spoločnosti v období tzv. normalizácie a transformácie. Práca je riešená metódou orálnej histórie a jej hlavným a prvotným prameňom sú údaje získané v životopisných rozhovoroch s ôsmimi obyvateľmi mesta. Ich výpovede sú následne analyzované a interpretované z dvoch protipólov. Na strane normalizácie sú predmetom analýzy sociálne istoty, konkrétne fenomén práce, bývania a sociálneho servisu pre rodiny s deťmi, zatiaľ čo v súvislosti s obdobím transformácie sú analyzované osobné slobody v zastúpení slobody prejavu, pohybu a vierovyznania. Získané závery sú následne porovnávané s dostupnou odbornou literatúrou v danej oblasti. Práca sa snaží postihnúť hlavne to, ako spomínané fenomény vnímali jednotliví narátori a ako sa toto ich vnímanie menilo po roku 1989. V závere sa práca pokúša na základe získaných zistení porovnať skúmané obdobia, pomyselný súboj medzi sociálnymi istotami a osobnými slobodami však ostáva aj naďalej nerozhodnutý. Práca okrem samotnej analýzy obsahuje i metodologickú časť, časť venovanú charakteristikám mesta a skúmaného obdobia a stručné predstavenie jednotlivých narátorov. The aim of this thesis is to affect opinions and attitudes of residents of a small town in the east Slovakia to the society during the period of normalization and transformation. These aims are achieved by exploiting the method of oral history and using mainly data obtained in biographical interviews with eight locals as a primary source of information. Their statements are thoroughly analysed and interpreted in two counterparts. Regarding the normalization period, social security was the main subject for analysis, namely the phenomenon of labour, housing, and social services for families with children, while in respect of the period of transformation, personal freedom of expression, movement, and religion has been analysed. Finally, all the obtained conclusions are compared with the available scientific literature in the given field. This thesis aims to affect mainly how the mentioned phenomena were perceived by the individual narrators and how this perception has changed after the year 1989. As part of the conclusion and using all the findings this work provides a comparison of the studied periods; however, an imaginary battle between social security and individual freedoms remains undecided.
