Kawa model v ergoterapii

Abstract

Cíl práce: Cílem mé práce je přeložit podklady Kawa modelu, vyzkoušet jeho aplikaci v české ergoterapeutické praxi a zhodnotit práci s tímto modelem a možnosti jeho využití v české praxi. Metoda: V teoretické části se zabývám otázkou role kultury v ergoterapii v souvislosti s kulturním pozadím Kawa modelu, okolnostmi a motivy jeho vzniku. Dále se zaměřuji především na překlad a interpretaci podkladů modelu potřebných pro jeho využití v praxi. V praktické části předkládám kazuistiky čtyř klientů po získaném poškození mozku, s nimiž jsem vyzkoušela metodu vedení rozhovoru na základě Kawa modelu. Závěr praktické části představuje zhodnocení práce s modelem mapující jeho pozitiva a negativa v souvislosti s možností jeho využití v české praxi. Výsledky: Na základě teoretického studia i praktického vyzkoušení považuji Kawa model za metodu využitelnou u českých klientů. Dle mých závěrů může být model užitečnou doplňkovou metodou v rámci ergoterapeutického vyšetření u vybraných klientů, jeho širší aplikace však skýtá také mnoho omezení.

Name of thesis: The Kawa model in occupational therapy Aim: The aim of my thesis is to translate the basis of the Kawa model, to explore its application and evaluate the experience with this model and possibilities of its use in the Czech occupational therapy practice. Method: In the theoretical part of my thesis I deal with the issue of the role of culture in occupational therapy in the context of the cultural background of the Kawa model, circumstances and motives of its origin. Further on I particularly aim at the translation and interpretation of the basis of the model needed for its use in practice. In the practical part I present the case studies of four clients with acquired brain injury with whom I tried the method of guiding individual interviews on basis of the Kawa model. The conclusion of the practical part presents the evaluation of my experiance with the model maping the positives and negatives in the connection with the possibility of its use in the czech occupational therapy practice. Results: On the basis of my theoretical studies and using the model in practice I consider that the Kawa model is the method that can be used with Czech clients.
