Edukační proces u pacienta s diagnózou diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou edukace pacientů s onemocněním diabetes mellitus. Skládá se z teoretické a empirické části. Teoretická část je rozdělena na dvě kapitoly. V první kapitole teoretické části je přehledně popsána problematika onemocnění diabetes mellitus včetně komplikací, léčby. V druhé části jsou vypsány základní pojmy vztahující se k edukaci a edukačního procesu u pacienta s onemocněním diabetes mellitus. Stěžejní je empirická část práce, pro kterou byla zvolena metodika kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření na interních klinikách lůžkových částí v Thomayerově nemocnici, Fakultní nemocnici Motol a Nemocnici Nymburk. Cílem práce bylo zjištění úrovně edukačního procesu a spokojenost s proběhlou edukací o onemocnění diabetes mellitus nejen u pacientů i sester. Dále je práce zaměřena na zjištění míry znalostí a pochopení problematiky pacientem a uspokojení sester z proběhlé edukace pacientů s diagnózou diabetes mellitus. V závěru práce jsou prezentovány výsledky šetření a potvrzení či vyvrácení pracovních hypotéz a z nich vyplývající návrhy na zlepšení edukace pro pacienty s onemocněním diabetes mellitus.

This Bachelor's thesis covers the topic of Diabetes Mellitus patient education. It consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is further divided into two sections. The first theoretical section describes the condition of Diabetes Mellitus, including possible complications and treatment. The second theoretical part contains a list of basic concepts of patient education and the terms related to the patient education process. The quintessential part of the thesis is the practical part. It applies the method of quantitative research interview. The interview was carried out in the internal medicine inpatient wards of the Thomayer Hospital, University Hospital in Motol and in the Nymburk Hospital. The aim of the thesis is to determine the quality of patient education process and the level of satisfaction of patients and nurses with the process of Diabetes Mellitus patient education. Another aim of the thesis is to determine the level of knowledge and understanding of the topic in patients and the satisfaction of nurses from the Diabetes Mellitus patient education. The thesis further introduces the results of the research including the confirmation or rejection of hypotheses, resulting in a proposal on how to improve the Diabetes Mellitus patient education process.
