Děsivé dějiny - vzdělávací pořad televizního kanálu ČT:D

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je především zjistit, zda je pořad Děsivé dějiny vhodný pro věkovou kategorii 8+, kterou uvádí tvůrci pořadu. Dále se zaměřuji na vliv a dopad seriálu na dětské diváky, zajímá mě vzdělávací přínos seriálu a zamýšlím se nad pozicí Děsivých dějin jako zábavně - vzdělávacího pořadu. V teoretické části práce jsem se zaměřila na charakteristiku dětského kanálu České televize ČT:D a knižní i seriálové edice Děsivé dějiny. Zmínila jsem také téma působení televize na dětského diváka. Hlavní pozornost věnuji empirické části práce. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 50 dětí ve věku 8 - 12 let. Shromáždila jsem také názory pedagogických odborníků a rodičů dětí ve zkoumaném věku, které mají výsledek výzkumu podpořit nebo vyvrátit. Z výsledků vyplývá, že pořad je vhodný minimálně pro děti od 10 let věku. Pro pochopení souvislostí a maximální přínos pořadu je však ideální věk 12 let. Sledování seriálu v nižším věku může mít na děti spíše negativní vliv. I tak je ale vzdělávací přínos pořadu minimální. Jako ideální se v tomto případě jeví rodičovská mediace, která v kombinaci se seriálem může vést ke zvýšení zájmu o historii.

The objective of this Bachelor's thesis is to primarily establish whether the Horrible Histories series is suitable for children aged 8+ as recommended by the authors. Furthermore, I focus on the influence and impact that the series may have on child viewers; I am interested in the educational benefit of the series and I reflect on the position of the Horrible Histories as an entertaining educational programme. In the theoretical section of my thesis I focus on the characteristics of ČT :D, the Czech Television channel designed for children as well as on the book and film series called Horrible Histories. I also mention the theme of the effect of television on child viewers. Main emphasis is put on the empirical part of my thesis. 50 children aged 8-12 years were enrolled in the survey. I have also collected opinions of teachers and parents of the children of the age under scrutiny, which should confirm or negate the results of my research. The results show that the programme is suitable for the minimum age of 10 years. In order to comprehend the context and get the maximum benefit from the programme, the ideal age is 12 years. Watching the series at lower age may have a negative impact on the children. The educational benefit of the programme is minimal anyway. Parental mediation seems ideal in...
