Abstract

Mučednictví Ignáce z Antiochie Rostislava Gažíková Fečová Resumé Bakalářská práce "Mučednictví Ignáce z Antiochie" pojednává o životě, díle a mučednické smrti Ignáce, druhého antiochijského biskupa. Ignác z Antiochie patří k významným osobnostem raného křesťanství (konec 1. a počátek 2. století po Kristu). Jeho životní příběh a mučednictví je stále předmětem teologického zkoumání, obzvláště v oboru patristiky. Badatelé zkoumají především okolnosti mučednické smrti a sedm listů, které Ignác z Antiochie napsal při své cestě do Říma, kde měl být popraven. Ignácovy myšlenky vstříc nadcházející smrti, plné opravdové víry v Ježíše Krista, položily základ teologii mučednictví. Expresivní vyjádření touhy po mučednické smrti Jsem pšenice Boží, a když mne rozemelou zuby šelem, budu shledán čistým chlebem Kristovým. (Řím 4, 6) se stalo věhlasným. Práce je rozvržena do pěti kapitol: první kapitola zmiňuje Ignácovo působiště, Antiochii Syrskou, jež byla jedním z význačných center raného křesťanství. Druhá kapitola zkoumá životní příběh Ignáce z Antiochie v době vlády císaře Trajána (98-117 po Kr.). Třetí kapitola popisuje Ignácovu mučednickou smrt ve svědectvích a legendách; podle tradice Ignác zemřel v aréně římského Klosea, vydán napospas divé zvěři. Martyrdom of Ignatius of Antioch Rostislava Gažíková Fečová Summary The Bachelor thesis "The Martyrdom of Ignatius of Antioch", deals with the life, work and martyrdom of Ignatius, the second bishop of Antioch in Syria. Ignatius was a great personality of early Christian church in the late 1st / early 2nd century AD. His life story and legacy is still a subject of the theological research. Especially, researchers in the field of patristics, they take interest in the martyrdom of Ignatius and in the seven letters he wrote going to die in Rome. His ideas about the death, full of the real belief in Jesus Christ, made grounds for the theology of martyrdom. The famous expression of the letter to Romans I am the wheat of God, and let me be ground by the teeth of the wild beasts, that I may be found the pure bread of Christ (Rom 4, 6), is still well-known. My thesis is divided into five chapters: the first chapter is subject of Ignatius's sphere, the city called Antioch in Syria, which belonged to the most important centres of the early Christianity.
