Klíčové pojmy: HIV/AIDS, nemoc, prevence, léčba, morální teologie, křesťanské hodnoty Tato práce se pokouší dodat informace o etických problémech spojených s nemocí HIV/AIDS. V první části se zabývá popisem nemoci jako takové, její historií, výskytem, počtem nakažených, léčbou a prevencí. Déle pak mapuje a popisuje některé jednotlivé etické problémy s touto nemocí související. Zabývá se problematikou související s testováním na protilátky viru HIV, s informováním dalších osob, a s některými etickými aspekty léčby. Dále zpracovává problematiku uzavření manželství nemocnými HIV/AIDS a plození dětí. Nakonec se také zmiňuje o problematice nakažení, umírání a smrti.

The first chapter describes illness, its origin and history, statistic dates in the world and in our country, the way of the transmission, diagnostic and therapy of this disease and prevention. In the following part the problem of serological examination is analysed and also some problems around information about of this disease and ethics aspect of HIV therapy. The right of the positive persons to get married and give birth to child is discussed. Finally, problematics of disease's acquirement, the process of dying and death is also discussed.
