Pooperační projevy po resekci vestibulárního schwannomu a jejich dopad na kvalitu života

Abstract

Vestibular schwannoma is one of the most common tumors found in a cerebellopontine angle. Despite tumor's benignity, there are many cases that are indicated for a surgical resection. Frequently postoperative symptoms described by patients and also by literature are hearing loss, vertigo, tinnitus and weakness or numbness of face. Our work wants to show also other factors which can be damaging for patient life. We talk about postoperative headache and anxiety or depression disorders. The aim of the study will be describe these symptoms, try to find the corelations between them and determine the impact on quality of life. In our survey, patients one year after vestibular schwannoma resection recieve convenient questionnaires to fill. The questionnaires will be focused on headache disability, anxiety and depression, vestibular dysfunction and perception of quality of life.

Vestibulární schwannom patří mezi nejčastější tumory v oblasti mostomozečkového koutu. Pacienti jsou i přes benignitu nádoru v řadě případů indikováni k jeho resekci. Často uváděnými pooperačními projevy jsou percepční porucha sluchu, vertigo, tinnitus a poruchy funkce V. či VII. hlavového nervu. Práce bude zaměřena na zmapování i méně zmiňovaných pooperačních stavů, jako jsou bolest hlavy nebo psychosociální dopad. Cílem práce bude určit jejich možné příčiny a souvislosti. V rámci šetření bude pro zhodnocení důsledků invazivní léčby použito několik dotazníků adresovaných pacientům operovaným minimálně jeden rok od výzkumného šetření. Dotazníky budou zaměřeny na výskyt bolestí hlavy, psychický stav, vestibulární symptomatologii a celkové zhodnocení subjektivní kvality života.
