This dissertation is describing mainly Saint Augustine's conception of the evil and putting it in the context of his predecessors Plato and Plotinus. The work is divided into main three chapters, each chapter describes chronology in conception of the good and the evil in corresponding philosophical systems. The chapter about Saint Augustine is also more focused on his life and work and includes detailed explanation of Augustine's conception of divine grace and predestination.
