Migrace, vzdělávání a integrace cizinců na území České republiky

Abstract

Cizí kultury - pestrá paleta umění, jazyků, zvyků a rituálů a hlavně milionů lidských příběhů, které mě zajímaly odjakživa. Tuto práci jsem pojala jako příležitost ujasnit si informace týkající se imigrantů na našem území a jejich možností integrace do české společnosti pomocí vzdělávání. První část práce se věnuje fenoménu migrace, vysvětlení pojmu multikulturalismus a nastínění legálního rámce integrace ve světě a České republice. Druhá část představuje síť nestátních neziskových institucí, které s cizinci v oblasti vzdělávání pracují. Po zvážení dostupných informací jsem jejich vzdělávací aktivity rozdělila do čtyř kategorií, které jsou zde blíže představené. Třetí část shrnuje několik zásadních pojmů z interkulturní psychologie, které mají, dle mého názoru, zásadní vliv na integraci cizinců do společnosti. Poslední čtvrtá část představuje oblast empirických mezikulturních studií.

Foreign cultures: this colourful palette of art, languages, habits, rituals and millions of human stories ha interested me all my life. I consider this paper an opportunity to explore the topic of immigration in the Czech Republic and to discuss opportunities for integrating immigrants into Czech society through education. In the first part of this paper I discuss the phenomenon of migration, define the concept of multiculturalism and provide an overview of the legal framework of integration in the world and in the Czech Republic. In the second part I introduce the network of non-government non-profit institutions which work with immigrants in the area of education. After considering the available information, I have divided their educational activities into four categories, which are presented here in more detail. The third part summarizes several concepts of intercultural psychology, which in my opinion have a big influence on the integration of immigrants into Czech society. And the last part presents the area of empirical intercultural studies.
