Stylistická, literární a překladatelská úskalí románu Jane Austenové Mansfield Park (Mansfieldské panství)

Abstract

Název mé práce je: "Stylistická, literární a prekladatelská úskalí románu Jane Austenové Mansfield Park (Mansfieldské panství)", v anglictine "Complexities of style, Literature and Translation in Jane Austen`s Mansfield Park". Cílem této práce bylo jednak zasadit román Jane Austenové Mansfield Park do kontextu ostatních románu této autorky a jednak provést translatologickou analýzu prekladu tohoto románu (Mansfieldské pansví) od Evy Kondrysové. V první cásti své práce jsem popsala styl Austenové a to, jak se projevuje v tomto románu. Dále jsem vysvetlila cím se Mansfield Park liší od ostatních románu této autorky. Je nejvážnejší ze všech a práve v nem Austenová nejotevreneji vyjadruje své názory. Vetší podíl první cásti tvorí analýza jednotlivých prvku, které jsou pro tento román typické. Jsou to: interpretace postav, divadlo, literární aluze, krestanská morálka a dobové reálie. Druhá cást práce analyzuje preklad jednak na rovine lexikálne-stylistické a jednak na rovine stylisticko-interpretacní. Analýza stylisticko-interpretacní roviny se zameruje na preklad jednotlivých prvku, které jsem identifikovala jako zásadní pro pochopení románu. Výsledkem této práce je zjištení, že se Kondrysové nepodarilo vytvorit funkcní preklad a že ceská verze Mansfield Parku nedosahuje kvalit originálu. Tato skutecnost je...

The title of my work is: "Complexities of style, Literature and Translation in Jane Austen`s Mansfield Park", or in Czech "Stylistická, literární a prekladatelská úskalí románu Jane Austenové Mansfield Park (Mansfieldské panství)". The intention of my work is twofold: to put the novel Mansfield Park in the context of Jane Austen`s other novels, and to analyse the Czech translation of this novel by Eva Kondrysová - Mansfieldské panství. In the first part of my work I have described Austen`s style in general, and showed how it is manifested in Mansfield Park and how this novel differs from other novels by Jane Austen. Mansfield Park is the most serious of her works, the one where her views and opinions are pronounced most openly. Yet even in this book, Austen uses the two characteristic features for which she is appreciated: wit and irony. The main body of the first part of my work consists of examining those aspects that are most important for our understanding and interpretation of Mansfield Park. These are: interpretation of the main characters, theatre, literary allusions, Christian morality, irony, the life and institutions of the period and the role these aspects play in the novel.
