Šedesátá léta v soudobých překladech francouzské poezie

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce s podtitulem Na hranicích poezie - na hranicích překladu se zabývá frankofonními básníky, kteří vydávali po druhé světové válce. Naším cílem bylo mimo jiné zjistit, zda tito autoři byli přeloženi a představeni českým čtenářům či nikoliv. Vycházíme ze situace, která se jeví velmi specifická: v šedesátých letech psalo více než 2000 francouzských básníků, ale z český jeden moderní básník, Jacques Prévert. Problematický je ale i pojem moderní poezie, který nejčastěji evokuje jména jako Charles Baudelaire či Stéphane Mallarmé, tedy básníky 19. století. Protože jsme chtěli představit moderní tendence bližší naší současnosti, zvolili jsme léta šedesátá, a to hned z několika důvodů. Toto desetiletí je nám časově poměrně blízké, ale zároveň i dostatečně vzdálené, abychom ho mohli sledovat s odstupem a objektivností. Je to období specifické i z hlediska politického, konec války, komunistický puč v roce 1948, francouzská politika v Africe či sociálně-kulturní hnutí a změny, zejména ty, které s sebou přinesl rok 1968. Navíc to byla z české pohledu doba mimořádně příznivá pro překládání ze západních literatur - jisté politické uvolnění se projevuje již po Stalinově smrti v roce 1953 a svého vrcholu dosahuje během Pražského jara, kdy nastane několik měsíců téměř úplné svobody, zakrátko utlumené...

This thesis, subtitled Boundaries of Poetry - Boundaries of Translation, examines the French poets who published their works in the post World War Two era. One of the aims has been to find out if these poets have been translated into Czech. The situation of the era seems to be a very special one: in the 1960's, more than 2000 poets published their poems in France; looking at Czech translation of French poetry, one may, however, get the impression that this was the era of only one French poet: Jacques Prévert. The term modern 101 poetry itself also need clarification, as it is very often associated with poets of the 19th century (e.g. Charles Baudelaire, Stéphane Mallarmé). The focus of this thesis lies on the 1960's, for several reasons: in terms of time, the decade lies quite close to present day; and yet, it still has the much desired distance, which allows for a more objective examination. The era is also special in terms of politics: the end of World War Two, the 1948 Communist Coup in Czechoslovakia, French colonial policy in Africa, and the socio-cultural upheaval and changes brought about by it, especially in 1968.
