Problematika recepce děl Franze Grillparzera s tematikou z českých dějin a mytologie

Abstract

V této diplomové práci jsme se snažili zmapovat ohlasy na osobnost a dílo Franze Grillparzera u českého publika, přičemž důraz byl kladen především na díla s tematikou z českých dějin a mytologie König Ottokars Glück und Ende, Libussa a Ein Bruderzwist in Habsburg. Ukázali jsme, že pro pochopení Grillparzerova díla jako celku je nutná znalost jeho života a historických kontextů doby, v níž tvořil. Podrobně jsme se věnovali i analýze jednotlivých dramat a jejich ohlasům v Čechách i Rakousku Je patrné, že ačkoliv se řadí Grillparzer k předním evropským dramatikům, jeho práce české publikum přijímalo velmi chladně. Bohužel tento názor vycházel především z ostré kritiky jeho dramatu König Ottokars Glück und Ende, od jehož premiéry uplynulo již více než sto osmdesát let. Zajímavé je, že ačkoliv odborná veřejnost vznesla požadavky na inscenování děl Franze Grillparzera již na počátku 20. století, a to nejen kladně přijímaných a i častěji uváděných her Die Ahnfrau a Weh dem, der lügt, ale především dramatu Libussa, dramaturgové velkých i malých divadel se v uplynulých stu letech inscenování této tragédie neodvážili. Dále jsme se snažili nastolit i otázky problematiky překladu Grillparzerových textů, jež čerpají látku z české historie a mytologie. The thesis discusses problems of the reception of the work of the prominent Austrian dramatist Franz Grillparzer by Czech audiences. An emphasis is placed upon the plays König Ottokars Glück und Ende, Libussa and Ein Bruderzwist in Habsburg, which are inspired by stories from Czech history and mythology. Up to these days, these plays have never been staged in Czech theatres nor translated into Czech. Czech audiences did not accept them because of the way the dramatist depicted Czech history and harsh criticism of Czech people which mostly appears in the tragedy König Ottokars Glück und Ende. The first biographical part of the thesis is devoted to the life of the dramatist and the conditions in which his works were written. Knowledge of these factors is crucial for an understanding of the way Grillparzer employed historical motifs into his works. The three dramas are thoroughly analysed and compared with Czech tradition. Their important German productions and reviews are discussed in shorter chapters. Receptions of all Grillparzer's plays staged in the Czech lands and all studies and articles on the dramatist himself written by Czech critics are accounted.
