Tematický atlas pražských kuriozit

Abstract

Cílem této práce bylo vytvořit tematický atlas geograficky zajímavých míst v Praze, která nejsou pro běžného návštěvníka známá. Prvním krokem bylo identifikovat tato místa, následně vhodná z nich vybrat a rozdělit do kapitol podle podobnosti, čímž vznikla hlavní struktura atlasu. Teoretická část se zabývá dostupnou literaturou spojenou s pražskými, českými i světovými kuriozitami, a rovněž se věnuje zdrojům dat, kartografii a vyjadřovacím prostředkům použitým při tvorbě atlasu. Praktická část popisuje tvorbu map a atlasu s důrazem na jednotnou vizualizaci dat vzhledem k různým měřítkům map. Popsány jsou zdroje dat pro jednotlivé mapy a sběr dat v terénu. Výstupem práce je několik geodatabází obsahující prostorová data a tematický atlas, který zahrnuje mapy, doprovodné texty a fotografie. The aim of this thesis was to create a thematic atlas of geographically interesting places in Prague that are not well-known to the general visitor. The first step was to identify these places, then select the appropriate ones and categorize them into chapters based on their similarities, forming the main structure of the atlas. The theoretical part deals with the available literature related to curiosities of Prague, Czechia, and the world, and also focuses on data sources, cartography, and the expressive means used in the creation of the atlas. The practical part describes the process of creating maps and the atlas with an emphasis on the uniform visualization of data across different map scales. It details the data sources for individual maps and data collection in the field. The output of the work is several geodatabases containing spatial data and a thematic atlas that includes maps, accompanying texts, and photographs. The maps were created using ArcGIS Pro, and the atlas was produced using Microsoft Publisher and Adobe InDesign.
