The Order arose as a consequence of the first Crusade, which complied its mission, thus conquest of Jerusalem back into Christian hands. The first chapter approaches political and religion situation in the West and the East and deals with causes, which led to the declaration of first Crusade. The second chapter describes itself Crusade. Its declaration in Clermont, journey of Peter the Hermit to the East and jewish pogroms as one of the unfortunate moment of the Crusade. The third chapter deals with the establishment and history of the order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and Malta. Also rule of the order, its symbolism and organization.
