| dc.description.abstract | This thesis 011 Czech music in France between the years of 1945 and 1968 is the result of my studies in France and follows my memoir on the state of Franco-Czech musical relations between the two world wars. It discusses the role of Czech music in France during this period and its reception not only at concerts, but also in the press, literature and media ofthe era. This thesis compares this situation with that between the wars, using evidence taken from the memoir. The topic is seen in its historical context, from both a musical and a political point of view. | en_US |
