Specifika překladu dětské literatury na příkladu vybraných překladů chorvatských a českých literárních děl

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl formulovat na základě odborných prací světových translatologů zabývajících se otázkou překladu dětské literatury specifické problémy překladu pro děti. Konkrétně se jedná o problém dvojího adresáta, visuální a zvukovou stránku děl, dále o otázku cenzury, didaktické funkce dětské literatury a další dílčí problémy. Zkoumaná problematika je aplikovaná při analýze překladů vybraných chorvatských děl pro děti přeložených do češtiny a naopak českých děl dětské literatury přeložených do chorvatštiny. Analytická část práce zkoumá, do jaké míry překladatelé specifické problémy překladu dětské literatury při své práci zohledňují. Dále práce mapuje situaci v oblasti překladů dětské literatury mezi češtinou a chorvatštinou a na základě srovnání vývoje obou literárních systémů hodnotí kvalitu výběru děl pro překlad. Toto srovnání ukázalo, že z češtiny do chorvatštiny se překládá více a výběr děl je kvalitní. Díla přeložená z chorvatštiny do češtiny jsou vybírána bez jakékoli koncepce či výrazné snahy českou literaturu obohatit. Nejkvalitnější díla chorvatské dětské literatury do češtiny, až na několik málo výjimek, přeložena nebyla.

The objective of this thesis is to define specific problems of translating for children, based on scientific works of well-known translatologists who deal with translation of children's literature. The specific problems are, for example, the dual audience, visual and acoustic aspect of the literary works, question of censorship, didactic function of the children's literature and other creative problems. These problems are considered when analyzing the translations of chosen Czech works for children, into Croatian. The analytical part of the thesis is the study of the degree to which translators consider these specific problems of translating for children, during the process of translation. Further, the thesis surveys the situation in the field of translation of children's literature between Czech and Croatian, and evaluates the quality of the works chosen for translation, based on comparison of the evolution 4 of the two literary systems. This comparison showed, that there are more children's books translated from Czech into Croatian than in the opposite direction, and that the Czech children's books chosen for translation are of higher literary quality.
